Join us for a valuable workshop on creating a safe and open environment for communication with your child. Led by Jo Robertson, this session will explore the online and offline world that kids navigate today, identifying potential risks and strategies for addressing them.
The workshop will cover two main areas;
The online landscape
Discussions on sex and consent, highlighting how online messaging influences young people's beliefs and expectations for real life relationships.
Participants will leave with insights into popular apps, filters, and support resources, as well as practical conversation starters and scripts to guide important discussions. Jo Robertson, an experienced therapist and researcher, brings over 17 years of experience working with children, youth, and parents. Her career has included work as a trauma therapist and sex educator, and she has spent the past 7 years researching online sexual content and advocating for the regulation of illegal content online
